Originally from Las Vegas, Nevada, Kaylyn Taylor is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. A passionate storyteller, she finds joy in performing across a range of genres, including oratorio, opera, musical theatre, and art song. Some of her favorite performances include Poppea in both Handel’s Agrippina and Monteverdi’s L’incoronazione di Poppea, Young Leah in the world premiere of Lori Laitman’s Uncovered, and Marcy Park in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.
Kaylyn is dedicated to championing underrepresented female composers in the art song repertoire. Her recent recitals have showcased the music of composers such as Isabelle Aboulker, Cécile Chaminade, and Liza Lehmann. She is currently curating an anthology that highlights the musical contributions of Swedish composer Laura Netzel and aims to make her works more accessible to modern audiences.
