Tenor Matthew Corcoran has stunned audiences with his clear and sonorous voice. Matt has sung a large range of repertoire encompassing everything from Baroque chamber pieces to Wagnerian operas. Originally hailing from Ipswich, Massachusetts, Matt now finds himself living in the Texoma region and performing throughout Texas and Oklahoma. He is currently finishing his DMA in vocal performance from The University of Oklahoma. Matt is an avid performer of opera and concert repertoire having been a Santa Fe Apprentice Artist, sung with the Dallas Symphony as a soloist and been a featured soloists in both New England and the DFW Metroplex. However, Matt’s biggest passion is art song repertoire. Matt was fortunate enough to have been chosen to be a Tanglewood Vocal Fellow in 2019, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic had to wait until 2022 to fulfil his fellowship. Most recently Matt gave a doctoral art song recital featuring a performance of Britten’s The Holy Sonnets of John Donne and is giving a lecture recital featuring the folk song arrangements of composer Steven Mark Kohn.

As a side job, Matt has also been a voice actor for anime television lending his voice to Crunchyroll, Funimation, Okratron and Sound Cadence studios. As Well, Matt was recently cast in a short film called The Singers directed by academy award nominated cinematographer Sam A. Davis, where he sang Vesti la Giubba from Leoncavallo’s  I Pagliacci.
