“I want to see the world not by the whole, but by the all too beautiful small things.”
About
Cincinnati Song Initiative presents LYNX Project in Beautiful Small Things, a concert celebrating the newly released album of music from the Amplify Series. The Amplify Series is a project in which the words of nonspeaking autistic poets are set to music by classical composers. From 2016-2020, the poets for this project were all residents of Cincinnati, OH and members of the Cincinnati Rapid Prompting Method (RPM) community.
LYNX and CSI are proud to collaborate on this special concert event and masterclass, sharing the powerful words of nonspeaking autistic youth from the Cincinnati area through beautiful art song.
Visit LYNX Project’s website to learn more about the Amplify Series (including current commissions!) here.
LYNX strives to create an inclusive community by welcoming fidgets, stims, and/or movement, providing a sensory-relief space outside the concert hall, and replacing clapping with handwaving and/or snapping. Additionally, this concert features a quiet space outside the concert hall, which will be facilitated by the store Puzzle Pieces, and will feature their sensory tent set-up.
