Tenor Daniel McGrew is an active and versatile performer of words set to music. In performances described as “irresistible,” “complex,” and “viciously beautiful,” he has established himself at home with repertoires from the ancient to the contemporary on international recital, concert, and operatic stages. Passionately engaged with new music, he has premiered works by composers including George Benjamin, John Harbison, Matthew Ricketts, Nina Shekhar, and others. Daniel has been in residence at such festivals as Tanglewood, Marlboro Music, and YellowBarn; he holds degrees from Oberlin, Yale, and the University of Michigan. He is represented by Young Concert Artists.
